One night, I pondered an interesting thing. How the story if Muhammad Iman Usman, the founder of IFL (Indonesian Future Leaders) and 1st winner of mawapresnas 2012 was told to be the Chairman of BEM UI? Or how the story if Faldo Maldini, Chairman of BEM UI 2012, was asked to be a musician in Paragita UI?

Or in FKUNS (my beloved campus), how the story if Ratna Sariyatun, Mawapres UNS and assistant of BioMedLab, asked to switch places with Abdullah al-Hazmi, president of BEM FKUNS. Or how the story if Sotya Adira, great musicians in scarta asked to switch places with Nanda Eka, scientist in Kastrat DG.

It could be, but I believe the result will not be maximal. Why? Because they do not become what their passion.

According to my observations, students who reach the top are those that move based on their passion. Faldo Maldini move to BEM UI because of his passion, Iman Usman move to his IFL because he has a passion there, similarly with mbak Ratna, mas Hazmy, Nanda, Sotya. 

I have a friend who is very determined to learn, just learn. Who dares to say he was student apathy and not contribute? The proof is by studying hard, he could be a 1st winner in Medical Olympiade and represents his campus to contribute in the national medical olympiade.

I do not agree if the student who not participating in political activity, did not join in organization, and study oriented assumed to be apathetic. 

I think to fight and contribute to the people not only by political means or social. Depending on individual interests. Do not ever say and assume if people who not joining in the political or social is people who do not care about the surrounding environment. It was a big mistake. Find your passion, then maximize your social roles and responsibilities there.  "Kontribusi paling optimal terjadi ketika kita berkarya sesuai dengan passion kita!"

What if someone has a passion in the music world? Maximize! who knows in the future we have Iwan Fals other. What if it is a scientific passion? Maximize! Who knew there would be Thomas Alva Edison more powerful. And others.

If we have the students who are responsible with their social world, while accompanied by a sweet fact that they engaged in accordance with their passion, I believe Indonesia will soon be filled by the best people whose achievements as has no limits, as well as endless contribution and that in fact they do it all with a happy feeling! 

Can it be if we swap the roles that exist, or we give the role a person with a perfunctory "important contribution"? It could, of course, but it will never be maximized. Trust me!

It would be funny if we saw an eagle that frustration when learning to dig, to the extent that he forgot was great flying skills possessed it? I will illustrate this with the following fable parable entitled "animal school". According to me this is very interesting, maybe.

Once upon a time, the great beasts created a school climbing, flying, running, swimming, and digging. Surprisingly they do not find an agreement about which are the most important lesson. They finally decided that all students follow the same curriculum. So every student should participate lessons of climbing, flying, running, swimming, and digging.

The deer who ran experts, nearly drowned while following course swim. His swimming experience make him shock, he felt like had no potential anymore. Over time, as busy with swimming lessons, and must follow additional swimming lessons, the deer was no longer able to run as fast as before. Because he train his natural skills.

Then there was the confusing incident to animal school administrators. The eagle who very cleaver to fly when he follow digging lessons, he was not able to undergo the tasks assigned to him. And finally, he must also follow additional tutoring dig that was a lot of his time, so he forgot how to fly so mastered previously. There are also many difficulties that plagued other animals, such as ducks, sparrows, snakes, etc.. The little animal did not have the chance to excel in his passion because they are forced to do things who do not appreciate their original passion and potential.

So guys. Come on! Maximize your potential! Your passion is your true strength.
